Job Description:
The project consists of a 25-yard, 50-yard, and 100-yard open air firing range with 40 covered lanes, a classroom building of approximately 4,200SF, an open training field and associated parking.
The classroom building includes a workshop, ammunition storage, a range master office, a covered break area, restrooms and tow rooms for instruction.
The covered range incorporates a bullet trap, target system and control booth. Cast in place concrete walls are used on either side of the range and as a divider separating the facility into tow 20-lane partitions. The entire range has a concrete floor allowing the Sheriff’s Office to conduct training exercises with the range.

Job Description:
The project consists of a 2 story structure for simulation round training. The structure is CMU load bearing walls, precast concrete hollow core plank floors and wood truss framed roof. The materials were selected for maintenance and durability. They layout was developed with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office for flexible layouts to recreate multiple building types for different training scenarios.
Innovative features included galvanized steel sleeve inserts in the first and second floors slabs for timber framed changeable layouts, steel framed hinged panels for quick room layout adjustment, a digital simulation room, a battering ram breaching door, operable shutters, a halligan breaching door and attic approach training space.
